About half in U.S. favor requiring vaccines to visit bars or restaurants

A new AP-NORC poll finds that majorities of Americans favor requiring people to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to attend crowded public events, like movies or sporting events, and to travel on an airplane.

Results based on interviews with 1,729 U.S. adults conducted Aug. 12–16. The margin of error is ±3.2 percentage points for the full sample.
