Forecasting heat wave peaks

High temperatures in heat waves that used to occur on average once every 50 years in the late 19th century are now occurring nearly once a decade because of human-caused climate change. The scientific report out of the United Nations shows what happens as the world warms by degree. When the world hits these warming levels depends how how much or how little the world curbs carbon emissions.
