DAF charitable donations increasingly popular

Donor-advised funds (DAFs) are a giving vehicle for donors to make charitable gifts. Charitable assets under management in all DAFs totaled $141.95 billion in 2019, a 16.2 percent increase from 2018. Today, roughly 1 in 8 charitable dollars are estimated to go into DAFs.
