Twitter, Facebook fail to label many Chinese government accounts

Twitter and Facebook began flagging state-controlled accounts last year to help users better understand who’s behind the information they’re getting. But the platforms have not implemented their own rules consistently. As of March 1, both platforms had labeled a minority of accounts. In response to this investigation, Facebook flagged an additional 41 Chinese state media accounts.
