More voters plan to vote before Election Day this year

A new AP-NORC poll finds fewer registered voters say they will vote in person on Election Day this year, compared with how they have typically voted in the past. About 4 in 10 expect to vote by mail.

Results based on interviews with 1,108 U.S. adults, including 987 registered voters, conducted Sept. 11–14. The margin of error is ±4.0 percentage points for the full sample.
