Support softens for providing Ukraine weaponry, funding

As the Russia-Ukraine war nears a grim one-year milestone, a new AP-NORC poll finds U.S. adults are somewhat less likely to support providing weapons and direct economic assistance to Ukraine than they were in the months after Russia invaded. Majorities still favor sanctioning Russia and accepting Ukrainian refugees.

Results are based on a survey of 1,068 U.S. adults conducted Jan. 26-30, 2023. The margin of error is 4.2 percentage points. Source: AP-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research
